Employment Type: Full-time (approx. 30-50 hours weekly dependent on scheduling flexibility)
Location: Marina del Rey, CA 90292
Proposed Start Date: ASAP
Compensation: $30–$32 per hour, based on experience and on-call flexibility (salary pay an option if preferred)
Requirements: Can maintain a smoke-free environment, able to pass background check, has a valid driver’s license and is an experienced driver, CPR certification valued yet not required
Proposed Schedule: This is a full-time position designed to support our family during high-impact hours, rather than requiring all-day presence. That could look like:
- Split-shift weekdays (morning + afternoon/evening) with downtime mid-day
- One weekend daytime shift (Saturday or Sunday)
- Occasional overnight support when needed
- Openness to flexibility when family needs change or pop up unexpectedly
- On-call flexibility for emergency support and scheduling changes

About Our Family:
We are a warm, energetic family of five with three children (ages 10, 8, and 4) and one sweet, cockapoo (about 25 lbs). Both parents work from home in their own private offices, and our days are full and lively. Our household runs on connection, collaboration, and a healthy sense of humor—there’s always a lot going on, and we genuinely enjoy the rhythm of a busy family life.
We’re looking for a full-time household partner who can help oversee day-to-day operations, support our family logistics, and bring structure and calm to the many moving pieces. This role is central to keeping our home running smoothly and supporting our family’s well-being, and we value someone who takes pride in creating an organized, welcoming, and well-functioning household.

You are a calm, capable household professional who thrives in a busy family environment and brings structure, consistency, and care to a high-expectation home. You have meaningful experience working with families—through caregiving, hospitality, or household roles—and take pride in supporting a family with warmth and professionalism. You are proactive, emotionally steady, and adaptable.
Our ideal candidate:
- Understands the importance of professionalism, boundaries, and a service-oriented approach to family support.
- Is incredibly flexible: has on-call availability, is 100% flexible with last-minute schedule changes, and is open to occasional overnight stays and travel.
- Lives within ~20 minutes of Marina del Rey.
- Stays composed and organized in a fast-paced household.
- Anticipates needs and follows through independently.
- Has strong experience working with young children and families.
- Is discreet and detail-oriented.
- Is tech-savvy and comfortable with shared calendars and systems.
- Has a strong driving record and a safe, reliable car (for when family car is not available).
- Can swim and feels comfortable supervising kids swimming when necessary
- Feels confident pinch-hitting and substituting for parents when either mom and/or dad are not available.
Key Responsibilities:
Meal Planning & Preparation
- Plan and prepare balanced, family-friendly meals that respect the family’s needs and preferences (healthy, wholesome, and can maintain a kosher household).
- Keep the fridge with ready-to-eat and prepped foods.
- Batch cook or prep meals for the week (breakfast and dinner with enough leftovers for lunch); pack school lunches and snacks for kids.
- Shop for groceries and manage kitchen organization.
- Maintain a clean kitchen and post-meal tidiness.
Household Organization & Maintenance
- Create and maintain organization systems (closets, storage, pantry, toys, etc.)
- Reset and tidy rooms daily; maintain overall neatness, ensure hope is prepped for cleaning services
- Oversee household schedules and calendars; assist to keep husband on track with appointments
- Conduct seasonal clothing and décor swaps
- Prepare for family events and guest visits
- Manage donation pickups and special household projects
- Coordinate with service providers (cleaners, contractors, landscapers)
- Support packing/unpacking for travel
- Load/unload dishwasher, wipe surfaces, vacuum high traffic areas
Inventory & Errands
- Track and restock pantry, fridge, toiletries, and household supplies
- Create and manage running household supply lists
- Coordinate and manage household orders (Amazon, Costco, Target)
- Run errands such as groceries, returns, dry cleaning, and gift shopping
- Handle mail and deliveries
Family Support + Driving
- Morning support for school preparation and/or after-school help through bedtime
- Child Pick up/Drop offs to school and/or after-school activities when parents are not available.
- Gentle reminders and calendar support for family members
- Available to provide child supervision when needed (e.g., when mom is dropping off one child at school)
- Participate in family travel and maintain household systems on the go
Laundry & Linens
- Wash, dry, fold, and organize all family laundry (e.g., clothing, bedding, and towels)
- Rotate bedding and refresh linens (e.g., towels) weekly
- Keep laundry areas organized and stocked with supplies
- Be open to handling delicates needing special care
Pet Care
- Feed and walk the family dog (~25 lbs cockapoo)
- Schedule and execute vet and grooming appointments
- Maintain pet supplies stocked and assist with care as needed
Vehicle & Property Management
- Schedule maintenance, oil changes, and inspections
- Keep family vehicles clean, fueled, and organized
- Coordinate vendor visits and maintenance across properties (including NY home)
- Support with travel logistics
- Track registration and service schedules
- Research and coordinate repairs, maintenance, and quotes as needed
Special Projects
- Maintain and refresh specific zones (entryways, garage, mudroom)
- Clean humidifiers, washing machines, and air purifiers monthly
- Organize special projects: toy storage, seasonal decorations, gear rotation
