- Set up and operate conventional or CNC machines (e.g., milling machines, lathes, grinders, drills).
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
- Measure, examine, and test completed parts to ensure they meet specifications using precision instruments (e.g., calipers, micrometers).
