What does the function of CAM Engineer entail?

In this position you will work in the Work Preparation department. The realization of new products starts here! Based on technical drawings and specifications that we receive from our customers, the working method, working order, and the processing conditions of the product are determined. You determine the routing of the product across the various departments and machines and record it.

You look at the clamping, tool lists, molds, and CNC programs per operation.

Furthermore, you are responsible for:

• The preparation of production orders and the guidance of these orders during the production process.
• Writing CNC programs in Top Solid 7;
• The coordination with the quality department during the production process.
• The coordination and optimization of different operations.

Are you our CAM Engineer /Programmer?

You are an expert in the field of machining, in particular CNC milling, and you have good technical insight. You are ambitious to work within a high-tech environment where people work with very small tolerances, and you have a proactive and flexible work attitude. Furthermore, you have:

• A completed Bachelor education in Mechanical Engineering.
• At least 7 years of experience with CNC Milling, including 5 years in a CAM programmer role.
• Experience with CAM systems and macro programming (for machining centers and rotary-milling combinations);
• Knowledge of materials, machining technology, clamping technology and CNC production.
• Knowledge of Siemens 840D control is a valuable advantage.
• Proficient in English and Dutch, both spoken and written, as well as listening skills.
