This will involve developing strategic plans to engage the consumer and bring this to life through effective influencing and negotiation with the local bottling partner and global/regional teams, resulting in long term volume, share and penetration growth. Responsibilities Marketing Strategy and Execution Lead the portfolio strategy for Hydration including deep understanding of the category segments and drivers, with the aim of understanding how to differentiate and drive PepsiCo brand growth within the category Demonstrate a deep understanding of the consumer with the ability to combine multiple data sources to create best in class marketing strategies and plans. Working closely with the Insights Manager to create campaigns that show a deep grasp of the core human truth that can be leveraged for PepsiCo brands to drive affinity. Creative Excellence and Media Transformation – utilising PepsiCo's creative excellence tools to ensure Human Centricity is at the heart of every brief and that the agency village is one voice for delivering excellence in creative and media that results in measurable impact and growth (via MMM, CX, ADA, Brand Health and commercial metrics). Brand Planning - leveraging the Growth Navigator Principles and together with the AU and NZ bottler partners deliver the Brand Growth Strategies and initiatives for Gatorade that will deliver the business KPIS on volume, share and penetration for both the short and long term. Po1 - Working with the Smiths Marketing Leadership team to identify opportunities for collaboration and bringing alignment between Schweppes, Smiths and PepsiCo. Embed this within the businesses and team to ensure that it becomes a way of working. Managing and tracking the Hydration portfolio investment E2E looking for global L&S opportunities that will ensure measurable ROI and high % of working spend. Ensure local trademark protection and mitigate legal risk/exposure. Deploy and accelerate Gatorade’s ‘Fuel Tomorrow’ Positive Impact agenda with key partners and within the core Comm’s framework to ensure impact ambitions are achieved and the platform has long term growth Global / Regional Alignment Build a relationship with the Global Anchor Market for Gatorade and other relevant developed market Hydration teams for partnership on innovation and communication as well as for opportunities to export local work. Working closely with the global team to Embed the positioning with Purpose and Big Idea into the ANZ market ensuring all aspects of the brand communications and strategies ladder to the purpose. Business Strategy Development and Alignment Process with Bottlers Work closely with the Bottler across both AU and NZ to deliver joint business KPIS – utilising 3yr JBP, Annual AOP and brand planning processes Demonstrate an understanding and experience the trading environment to enable optimum consumer activity. Be able to 'think' from the retailer and shopper perspective Influence and work with Sales Execution to develop tailored activity for customers to ensure alignment with the brand strategy seamlessly through the line Partner with bottler Sponsorship team to align strategy, investment and execution ensuring KPIs are aligned and measurable. Provide marketing support to new business pitches on strategic accounts. Work with Sales and global team to identify new business opportunities. Talent Development & Leadership Be a role model for direct reports as well as broader Beverages team, taking on portfolio responsibilities where relevant. Coach, develop and motivate a team, to ensure effective implementation of all key identified marketing initiatives and strategies as well as a strong focus on personal leadership and development opportunities. Strong focus on the leadership competencies required to deepen the PEP/Bottler relationships and foster collaboration and commitment. Effectively cascade and use the key PepsiCo Way processes and practices to create a motivated and highly competent marketing team Agency / Supplier Management Develop effective and integrated working relationship with all agencies involved on key brands. (Packaging, Insight, Research, Strategy, Media, Creative, Digital) Ensure they feel and behave like an extension of the brand team. Manage, align and inspire key marketing agencies to develop consumer preferred and competitively advantaged insights and initiatives, making sure we have an efficient process. Qualifications Minimum 8 years sales / marketing experience, preferably within FMCG environment. Ideally, Multi-channel trade experience as well as beverage and franchise experience. Developed understanding of the local media market.
