As a member of the Disease Area Strategy team, you are expected to be part of this team which collectively defines, enables & stewards the Roche and Pharma International vision for the Oncology Portfolio.
The Opportunity
The main responsibilities of the role include:
Inspire and foster strategic expertise, a competitive mindset, and a bold vision across the affiliate, aligning all efforts with patient-centered goals and long-term healthcare sustainability.
Collaborate closely with the Specialty Franchise Lead to act as a unified Disease Area Strategy Unit, ensuring alignment and strategic cohesion in decision-making and execution.
Build and empower high-performing, strategic teams by coaching and removing obstacles, enabling them to develop fit-for-purpose, customer-centric solutions while embedding the VACC principles (Visionary, Architect, Coach, Catalyst).
Act as a servant leader, role-modeling creative leadership, external focus, integrity, and a networked mindset to drive transparency and engagement across the organization.
Champion innovative business strategies by integrating products with value-added services and solutions, driving differentiation, and advancing healthcare equity and sustainability.
Provide strategic guidance for portfolio optimization, collaborating with squads and ecosystems to define short- and long-term strategies, ensuring excellence in launches and in-line product management.
Drive commercial excellence and data-driven decision-making by leveraging insights from market trends, improving digital tools and marketing strategies, and tracking KPIs to build a high-performing organization.
Who you are
Higher degree and/or specialist accreditation and/or Business qualification e.g.. MBA and fluency in Spanish and English is required.
10+ years’ professional experience in the pharmaceutical/ biotechnology industry or related experience with a broad mix of experience in product management, strategic planning, market research, and/or financial analysis within the biotech or pharmaceutical industry would be preferred
Extensive management experience, including leading high-performing and cross-functional teams, managing through others, driving cross-disciplinary processes, and effectively leading change, resolving conflicts, and negotiating impactful outcomes.
Extensive and solid experience in product strategy, specially in the development and launch of new products, commercial, business development, or related field of the biotechnology / pharmaceutical industry
Familiarity with the Central America and the Caribbean environment and healthcare system
Preferred
Life Science degree desirable.
