Why This Role Exists
You’ll design and build the systems that power the product — from APIs and data models to real-time pipelines and secure infrastructure. You’ll be a core technical owner working directly with the founders.
What You’ll Do
Architect backend services and distributed systems
Build scalable APIs and async workflows
Ship full-stack features when needed
Own performance, reliability, and security
Work directly with founders on technical direction
Set engineering standards and tooling
Leverage AI developer tools to accelerate delivery
What We’re Looking For
Strong Python (Django/FastAPI) or Go
Solid React experience
Proven production system design
Cloud-native on AWS
Startup mindset and comfort with ambiguity
Nice to Have
Kafka / message queues
Postgres / DynamoDB
Terraform / Kubernetes
Regulated environments (healthcare / fintech)
LLM integrations, AI observability, or internal AI tooling
