Job Description
Position Title: Press Operator – 45 MM & 20 MM
Division: Forging Shop

Location: Eastern Province, Saudi Arabia
Salary: SAR 2,500 – 3,500 + FAT
Job Summary
The Press Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of 45 MM and 20 MM forging presses in a forging shop environment. The role involves handling hot forgings, monitoring press operations, ensuring product quality, and strictly adhering to safety and operational standards to meet production targets.
Key Responsibilities
Press Operations
• Operate 45 MM and 20 MM forging presses as per approved production plans and work instructions
• Set up press parameters including pressure, stroke, temperature, and cycle time
• Ensure correct alignment of dies and tooling before press operation
• Monitor forging operations continuously to avoid defects or equipment damage
Hot Forging Handling
• Safely handle hot forgings using tongs, manipulators, cranes, or other approved tools
• Ensure proper transfer of heated billets between furnaces, presses, and cooling areas
• Follow safe handling practices to prevent injuries and material damage
Quality Control
• Inspect forged components visually and dimensionally during and after production
• Identify surface defects, dimensional deviations, or forging irregularities
• Segregate non-conforming products and report quality issues to supervisors
• Work closely with Quality and Production teams to maintain forging standards
Equipment & Maintenance Support
• Perform routine pre-start and post-operation checks of forging presses
• Identify abnormal noises, vibrations, oil leaks, or performance issues
• Report equipment malfunctions promptly to the maintenance team
• Assist maintenance personnel during minor adjustments or breakdowns
Safety & Compliance
• Strictly follow HSE rules, SOPs, and shop-floor safety procedures
• Use prescribed PPE such as heat-resistant gloves, face shields, helmets, and safety shoes
• Ensure safe working practices during hot metal operations
• Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work area
Coordination & Productivity
• Coordinate with supervisors, furnace operators, crane operators, and quality inspectors
• Support production targets related to output, cycle time, and rejection control
• Follow shift instructions and production schedules effectively
