Finance Technician - Fund & Box Admin
We’re recruiting for a Finance Technician - Fund & Box Admin to join us. We’re offering a competitive base salary.
We’re looking for a motivated and detail‑focused Finance Technician to join our Finance Central Services team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with numbers, supporting key financial processes, and contributing to accurate and timely reporting. You’ll be part of a collaborative team that values continuous improvement, professional growth and delivering high‑quality outcomes for the business.
What you’ll be doing:
- Processing daily financial data, including payments, journals and fund box activities in line with established procedures and controls
- Preparing and completing financial and box reconciliations, investigating and resolving outstanding items
- Contributing to the production of monthly financial and management accounts, including revenue, balance sheet, tax and regulatory information
- Supporting the delivery of management information and analytical insight for business units and ad hoc requests
- Adhering to strong financial controls, maintaining up‑to‑date procedure notes and ensuring compliance with internal and regulatory requirements
- Identifying and recommending improvements to processes and procedures to support continuous improvement
- Collaborating with colleagues and participating in cross‑training to build shared knowledge and resilience across the team
- Supporting Consumer Duty requirements by ensuring Finance processes, systems and MI enable fair customer outcomes
Who we’re looking for:
- Studying towards, or willing to study towards, a recognised accounting, investment administration or relevant professional qualification
- Alternatively, at least two years’ experience in a Finance or investment environment
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel, with Power Query experience an advantage
- Practical understanding of accounting and bookkeeping processes
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to work accurately to tight deadlines
- Confident communication skills with the ability to work effectively with colleagues across the business
- Analytical and problem‑solving abilities, with a proactive approach to identifying improvements
- Ability to plan, prioritise and work both independently and as part of a team
