Finance Operations Analyst

A Typical Day:

  • Performing ad hoc reporting and data analysis for Accounting Operations, Payroll, Finance, and audit requests.

  • Preparing schedules and reconciliations for month-end close, payroll accounting, and financial reporting.

  • Supporting the analysis and implementation of new technology solutions across accounting, payroll, and finance functions.

  • Preparing and maintaining Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for accounting, payroll, and cross-functional processes.

  • Executing test scripts and participating in user acceptance testing for system improvements and new tools.

  • Assisting with payroll data validation, payroll journal entries, and payroll-related account reconciliations.

  • Partnering with Payroll and HR to ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll-related financial transactions.

  • Supporting compliance with payroll-related controls, audits, and regulatory requirements.

To be considered, you will have 3–5 years of experience in Accounting, Payroll Accounting, or related finance functions, and a BS/BA in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Experience with ERP financial systems—particularly Oracle applications—is strongly preferred. High proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft applications is required. Familiarity with payroll systems, payroll accounting, or HRIS platforms is a plus, as is a strong understanding of US GAAP and its application to accounting and payroll transactions.
