Field Service Warranty Coordinator (m/w/d)

Who will you be working with?

You'll collaborate closely with customers during the warranty phase, serving as their primary point of contact. Internally, you'll coordinate with cross-functional teams including Field Service, Quality, Project Management, Sales, and Operations across the DACH region.

You'll ensure smooth warranty execution and on-time exits while maintaining high customer satisfaction through proactive issue resolution. By analyzing field incidents and quality data, you'll drive continuous improvements that enhance product reliability. Your coordination of warranty projects and retrofits will directly impact operational excellence and safety compliance across customer sites.

What will your typical day look like?

  • Coordinate and manage warranty execution to meet contractual requirements and ensure on-time warranty exit
  • Act as the main interface to customers during the warranty phase; visit customer sites and address issues proactively
  • Manage defects and NCRs, including first-level root cause analysis and follow-up with Quality and Project teams
  • Track, analyze, and report field incidents, KPIs, reliability, and quality data
  • Support and coordinate warranty projects and retrofits in the DACH region (planning, materials, documentation, readiness)
  • Ensure effective communication and escalation within Wabtec (Field Service, Quality, PM, Sales, OPS)
  • Monitor consignment stock and coordinate inventory adjustments with back office
  • Coordinate field service teams on-site and ensure technician readiness and qualifications
  • Support continuous improvement, customer satisfaction, and safety compliance at all times

What do we want to know about you?

  • Engineering qualification
  • Proven experience in warranty management or technical engineering, ideally in the rail industry
  • Experience working directly with customers and in field-based environments
  • Strong ability to analyse technical issues and communicate them clearly (written and verbal)
  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision in a matrix organization
  • Collaborative, reliable, and aligned with key values: Safety, Customer Focus, Excellence, Teamwork
  • Willingness to travel within the DACH region (70%+)
  • Valid driving licence
