Key Responsibilities:
Technical Service & Support with Proposals
- Perform installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, and maintenance of equipment at customer sites.
- Provide timely and effective technical support to clients.
- Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and company procedures during service activities.
Project Management
- Lead and manage service-related projects including upgrades, retrofits, and system integrations.
- Develop project plans, schedules.
- Coordinate with internal teams, vendors, and customers to ensure project milestones are met.
- Monitor project progress and prepare regular status reports.
- Ensure project documentation is complete and accurate.
- Take ownership of RFQs and manage proposal lifecycle from enquiry to PO
- Prepare technically accurate and commercially viable proposals for instrumentation systems
- Coordinate with global cross-functional teams including sales, design, and engineering
- Review P&IDs, AutoCAD drawings, and technical specifications
- Send technical enquiries to sub-vendors and evaluate responses
- Interpret product specifications and configurations
- Attend type approval audits (ABS, LR, DNVGL, IEC, DIN, ATEX, IMO)
- Prepare SMDRs, instrument index sheets, datasheets
- Create electrical schematics, logic diagrams, IS loop calculations
- Compile SPIR lists, BOMs, I/O lists
- Develop FAT and SAT procedures, SCADA configuration files
- Prepare PTDQ, Dat files, Cargoboss files, log files.
Customer Interaction
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers.
- Provide training and technical guidance to end-users.
- Address customer concerns and ensure high levels of satisfaction.
- Experience in project management and execution.
Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain detailed service records and project documentation.
- Prepare service reports, project updates, and feedback for continuous improvement.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- Degree in Electronic and Instrumentation Engineering.
- 5-6 years of experience in field service engineering, with at least 2-3 years in project execution.
- Strong understanding of Marine / industrial equipment, automation systems, or similar technologies.
- Experience in managing small to medium-scale technical projects.
- Proficiency in MS Office and project management tools.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to travel and work at customer sites as required.
Preferred Skills:
- Familiarity with SAP systems / Autocad and service management platforms.
- Knowledge of safety and compliance standards.
