We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Field Service Engineer to support our advanced silicon photonics test systems. This role requires strong technical expertise in optical and electronic measurements, hands-on troubleshooting capability, and the ability to deliver exceptional on‑site service to customers.

Responsibilities


 
  • Perform installation, calibration, maintenance, and repair of silicon photonics test system.
 
  • Conduct optical, electrical, and electronic measurements to diagnose system issues and restore full functionality.
 
  • Provide on-site technical support, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis for complex equipment problems.
 
  • Work closely with solution engineering, manufacturing, and product teams to escalate and resolve technical issues efficiently.
 
  • Prepare detailed service reports, maintenance logs, and failure analysis documentation.
 
  • Deliver technical guidance and training to customers on equipment operation and best practices.
 
  • Ensure compliance with safety procedures and maintain high-quality service standards.
 
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance service efficiency and customer satisfaction.

 


Qualifications


 

 
  • Bachelor’s degree (or above) in Electrical Engineering, Photonics, Optoelectronics, or related field.
 
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in optical and electronic measurement, semiconductor equipment maintenance, or field service engineering.
 
  • Strong knowledge of optical components, laser systems, photonics testing, and electrical measurement instruments (e.g., oscilloscopes, SMUs, spectrum analyzers).
 
  • Proven ability to independently troubleshoot complex system issues.
 
  • Excellent communication skills and strong customer‑service mindset.
 
  • Proactive, self‑motivated, and capable of working under pressure with a positive growth mindset.
 
  • Willingness to travel to customer sites and support on‑site service when required.
