Overview
Position Overview
The Compensation Analyst will report to the Director, Compensation providing compensation support company wide. This position will be responsible for both base pay administration as well as the administration of the company’s retirement plans.
The ideal candidate would be a strong self-starter and team player that is willing to adapt to change in a fast-paced environment. We are a growing company, and while this role will be responsible for several recurring Compensation tasks, this role will also regularly take on ad hoc tasks needed by upper management and/or other team members to advance the company’s interests.
Responsibilities and Qualifications
- Benchmark jobs against survey data and market intelligence to determine competitive pay levels across the organization
- Analyze compensation data to identify trends, disparities, and opportunities for improvement
- Gather and assess data from market-based compensation surveys using spreadsheets and analytical tools
- Conduct job evaluations by analyzing duties to determine appropriate classification, leveling, and FLSA status
- Prepare and present summary reports on compensation analysis to leadership on a regular basis
- Perform ad hoc reporting and analysis to support business needs and decision-making
- Conduct data and cost analyses to support employee negotiations and collective bargaining agreements
- Assist in the administration and management of the company’s 401(k) plan
- Advise management on state and federal employment regulations, compensation policies, benefits, HR procedures, and collective agreements
- Evaluate and implement job analysis tools, instruments, and materials to support compensation programs
- Perform other related duties as assigned
- Perform other duties as assigned to support human resources and corporate objectives
- Advanced Excel skills with experience analyzing large datasets
- Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) strongly preferred
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of compensation principles, practices, and regulations
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Dayforce
Compensation and Benefits
- Base: $38.00 - $48.00 per hour
- Bonus: 10% Target Bonus
- Total Compensation (Base + Bonus): The successful candidate could reasonably expect a Total Compensation Package in the range of $84,000 - $115,000
- Equity: This role is not eligible for equity opportunities, awards or grants
