Position Overview
At Foundation Building Materials (FBM), Accounts Payable Specialists keep things running smoothly—processing payments with accuracy, ensuring compliance, and supporting strong financial operations. Your attention to detail and commitment to service make a real impact across the business.
Responsibilities and Qualifications
Key Responsibilities
Accounts Payable Coordination
- Work with corporate and field operations groups for AP documentation and approval
Vendor Relations
- Communicate with the vendors and resolve open issues, disputes, and inquiries
Data Entry
- Heavy volume data entry
- Reconcile Vendor Statements, research and correct discrepancies
- Code and enter invoices and payments into the accounting system
- Maintain basic knowledge of GL chart of accounts
Additional Responsibilities & Miscellaneous
- Perform other duties as assigned to support accounts payable and corporate objectives
Qualifications
- 2+ years of SAP Concur required (Expense, Invoice & Admin)
- Associate degree in Accounting or Business – related field
- 2+ years Accounts Payable/ Accounting-related field
- Knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Internet Explorer)
- Basic knowledge and understanding of accounting principles/practices
- Experience with accounting software a plus
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Organized- prioritizes work activities and time efficiently
- Detail oriented – demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness to ensure work quality
- Strong initiative and ability to problem solve
- Dependable – consistently at work and on time, follows instructions, responds to management direction and solicits feedback to improve performance
- Flexible schedule during monthly financial closes
- Detail-oriented with the ability to work independently to meet deadlines, or as a team member
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate clearly and concisely both verbally and in writing to all levels within the organization
- Ability to work under pressure and with multiple deadlines

Compensation
The listed pay range reflects the expected base rate for this position. Within the range, individual pay may vary based on experience, qualifications, and work location within state. This is a full-time position with competitive pay and benefits.
- Base: $25.00 - $28.00 per hour
- Bonus: 5% Target Bonus
- Total Compensation (Base + Bonus): The successful candidate could reasonably expect a Total Compensation Package in the range of $52,000 - $61,152
