- Practices in accordance with relevant Vail Health and State of Colorado Bylaws; Rules and Regulations; and Policies and Procedures.
- Supports the coordination of the daily patient flow to optimize patient care, safety, and satisfaction.
- Maintains confidentiality of patient, staff, and hospital administration.
- Provides care within scope of practice as established by the privileges granted through the Vail Health Medical Staff Office.
- Exercises competency in assessment, diagnosis, treatment and education/counseling to assure high standards of patient care, patient satisfaction and patient safety.
- Displays and promotes professional, courteous, and collaborative interaction with patients/families, providers, staff, other Vail Helalth departments, and leadership in meeting patient care needs and promoting teamwork.
- Demonstrates ability to delegate care appropriately and according to Colorado statute.
- Ensures that patient documentation is in accordance with accreditation and regulatory compliance standards.
- Two years of experience as a Physician Assistant in a related area preferred
- Successful completion of a physician assistant program accredited by the Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant (ARC-PA) or a predecessor/successor agency acceptable to the Colorado Board of Medical Examiners.
- Valid state of Colorado License as a PA, required
- Current DEA with no restrictions on prescribing controlled substances, required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) or Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), required
