European Graduate Development Program, Tesla Engineering Germany (Fall 2026)

The Tesla Engineering Germany team is driven by the passion to recognize and develop emerging talent from across Europe and the globe. Our inaugural program will place the very best graduates in positions where they will grow technically, professionally, and personally through their experience working closely with their Manager, Mentor, and team. We provide an experience that allows graduates to develop critical experience in developing the most exciting products in the world.
The program will expose you to a world class global Engineering team, with unique opportunities to collaborate internationally on global product development. This is a hands-on program, meaning you will make meaningful contributions to projects that are critical to the team’s success.
Your application will be considered across all opportunities for the teams listed below:
Powertrain Engineering – battery, drive unit and HV distribution
Testing and Homologation Engineering
Vehicle Engineering – groups such as body in white, seats, interiors, exteriors, LV distribution, chassis etc
Work across mechanical, electrical, and electronics design domains for Tesla vehicle products.
Contribute to full lifecycle development: design, analysis, prototyping, and validation of components and systems.
Engage in diverse projects that challenge innovation while meeting rigorous performance, quality, and value targets.
Rotate through specialized design teams to gain cross-disciplinary experience and a holistic understanding of product development.
Apply first-principles thinking to drive efficient, innovative designs and processes.
Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Mechatronics or a related field
Proficiency designing in a 3D CAD software (CATIA proficiency is a plus)
Experience creating engineering drawings (GD&T experience is a plus)
Proven interest in mechanical design engineering through extracurricular activities, academic projects, passion projects, or equivalent experiences (proven automotive or sustainability interest is a plus)
Excellent grasp of engineering fundamentals
Eagerness to collaborate cross-functionally with other engineering teams while able to work independently; detail-oriented and execution focused
Genuine curiosity and willingness to understand how our products are designed, built and how they operate

Expected Compensation:
Compensation includes competitive market based salary as well as equity (TSLA stock). Details of compensation will be provided if a candidate receives an offer of employment.
Please note:
This position is expected to start in September 2026 and end in November 2027, for an approximate 15-month total program duration. Our Graduate Development program is for graduates who will graduate from an Engineering program by the start date of the program . The program is intended for recent graduates of Engineering programs and while some work experience is a welcome asset, it is not a requirement to be considered for this program. If you are a professional with at least 2 years of experience, we encourage you to apply for a full-time position.
