English Language Learner Teacher 2026-2027
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate English Language Learner Teacher to join our team in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. As an ELL Teacher, you will play a crucial role in supporting non-native English speakers in developing their language skills and academic proficiency.
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans tailored to the needs of English Language Learners
- Assess students' English language proficiency and track their progress over time
- Collaborate with mainstream teachers to support ELL students' success in content area classes
- Create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that celebrates cultural diversity
- Utilize various instructional strategies and technologies to enhance language acquisition
- Provide individualized support and differentiated instruction to meet diverse learning needs
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues regarding student progress
- Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with ELL teaching practices
- Assist in the development and implementation of the school's ELL program
- Maintain accurate records of student performance and attendance
Skills and Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university
Valid Oklahoma Teaching Certificate with required certification for subject and level assigned, if applicable*
Demonstrated knowledge of core subject area assigned
Satisfactory outcome of a background check. Employees are responsible for a non-refundable fingerprinting fee (approximately $60).
*Applicants currently pursuing a certification may apply before certification is received. All certifications must be acquired and on file with KIPP OKC before the end of the first year of employment. *
