Engineering Manager – SAP S/4HANA, BRIM, BTP & Cloud Engineering

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager with deep expertise in SAP ERP, predominantly SAP S/4HANA, and strong experience in Order-to-Cash (O2C) processes including BRIM and FICA. The role requires hands-on technical leadership across SAP applications, SAP BTP-based solutions, and enterprise integrations, along with experience developing services using Java and Node.js on OpenStack-based cloud platforms.

The ideal candidate will combine strong SAP functional and technical expertise with modern engineering practices and people leadership, leading teams responsible for SAP application engineering, integrations, and cloud platform solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Engineering Leadership

• Lead and manage a team of SAP engineers, integration developers, and platform engineers.

• Provide technical and architectural leadership for SAP S/4HANA applications and cloud-based services.

• Drive adoption of modern engineering practices, automation, and scalable architecture patterns.

• Mentor and develop engineers while fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.

SAP S/4HANA & Order-to-Cash (BRIM / FICA)

• Lead engineering initiatives for SAP S/4HANA solutions with focus on Order-to-Cash processes.

• Provide technical leadership across SAP BRIM (Billing and Revenue Innovation Management) and SAP FICA (Contract Accounts Receivable and Payable).

• Support capabilities including:

  • Subscription and usage-based billing

  • Revenue management

  • Contract account management

  • Billing, invoicing, and collections

  • Dispute Management 

• Work closely with business stakeholders to translate O2C business requirements into scalable SAP solutions.

SAP BTP & Integration Architecture

• Design and oversee solutions built on SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP).

• Lead development of integration services connecting SAP with enterprise and external systems.

• Utilize technologies such as:

  • SAP Integration Suite / CPI

  • API-based integrations

  • Event-driven architecture

  • Middleware and microservices

• Ensure reliable, secure, and scalable integrations across the enterprise ecosystem.

Cloud Engineering & OpenStack

• Collaborate with platform teams to deploy and manage SAP workloads and integration services on OpenStack-based private cloud infrastructure.

• Lead development of cloud-native services using Java and Node.js.

• Ensure high availability, performance optimization, and scalability of SAP and integration platforms.

Delivery & Stakeholder Management

• Own end-to-end delivery of SAP engineering and integration initiatives.

• Work closely with enterprise architects, product teams, and business stakeholders.

• Align engineering deliverables with enterprise architecture standards and strategic goals.

• Manage vendor engagements and collaborate with SAP partners and system integrators when required.

People Management

• Build, mentor, and manage high-performing engineering teams.

• Conduct performance management, career development, and coaching for team members.

• Encourage Agile delivery practices and cross-functional collaboration.

• Create an environment that promotes innovation, accountability, and technical excellence.

Required Qualifications

• 10–15+ years of experience in enterprise application development or SAP engineering roles.

• Strong expertise in SAP ERP with focus on SAP S/4HANA.

• Deep knowledge of SAP Order-to-Cash processes, particularly SAP BRIM and SAP FICA.

• Experience working with SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP).

• Strong experience with enterprise integrations and API-based architectures.

• Development experience using Java and/or Node.js.

• Experience working with OpenStack or private cloud platforms.

• Proven people management and leadership experience managing engineering teams.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with SAP Integration Suite / CPI and API Management.

• Familiarity with microservices architecture and containerized platforms.

• Knowledge of DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and automation frameworks.

• Experience with SAP Fiori/UI5 or modern SAP development frameworks.

• SAP or cloud-related certifications.
