Engineering Manager - Molded Rubber Products
The role requires a combination of technical, communication, and collaboration skills. As the MRP Design Manager, you will ensure the technical performance of new and existing designs. You will be communicating with leaders at all levels of the global organization on high-profile development projects and product line support activities; and you will collaborate with a distributed, cross-functional team to identify constraints, align expectations, and drive business success. Most importantly, you will engage and develop the MRP engineering team to drive excellence and continuous improvement. In this role, you will: Partner with Product and Operations leadership to develop and integrate a five-year roadmap and strategy for products and technology related to the Molded Rubber Product line. Support manufacturing plants with engineering, manufacturing, and quality process and productivity projects; in addition to production testing, and day-to-day technical product support for the Molded Rubber Product Line. Recruit, develop, and retain top talent and ensure alignment with the business' top goals. Identify and escalate organizational research and development needs, including headcount and expense allocation for growth and cost reduction projects. Ensure integrity of engineering work on processes and projects (through a Stage Gate process). -Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an accredited institution. -Two or more years of manager of people experience preferred -Master's degree in Engineering from an accredited institution. -Six Sigma Green belt or black belt certified. -Three or more years of experience with phase gate project management processes. -Three or more years of experience in leading projects from concept through production. -Knowledge of medium voltage cable accessories and applicable industry standards Position Criteria: Ability to travel up to 25%, including internationally. Understanding of Industry Standards and how they apply to the product, including practice in design verification and validation.
