Engineering Director, Distributed IT
Reporting directly to the Senior Vice President & General Manager of the Distributed IT Division (D-IT) the Director of Engineering will lead our engineering strategy, product development, and research and development function across our portfolio of power protection, connectivity, and energy infrastructure solutions. As the Director of Engineering, you will have the opportunity to drive innovation, sustaining engineering, and cost optimization across a diverse product portfolio leading a global organization and multiple cross functional teams. Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (preferred: Master's in Engineering or MBA) Minimum of 15 years progressive experience within product engineering for a multinational, dynamic industry leader in a comparable size/scope role. Expertise leading engineering teams developing data center infrastructure solutions tailored for hyperscale or colocation environments. Experience as a leader of leaders with global oversight. Experience with power electronics, digital technologies, product development & lifecycle management New Product Introduction Experience Proven track record in building high performance teams, leading cross-functionally, developing and retaining employees, and driving a culture of innovation. Lead a high-performing management team, and their reports of hardware, software/firmware, mechanical, and test engineers globally, fostering a culture of innovation, and continuous learning. Lead engineering strategy for data center infrastructure solutions, including power high voltage DC power to the rack, in-row cooling, and connectivity products tailored for hyperscale, colocation and enterprise environments. Collaborate with data center customers and internal stakeholders to understand evolving requirements in hyperscale, edge computing, modular solutions, energy efficiency, and remote management conversion. Partner with Operations, Supply Chain, Quality, and Product Management to ensure seamless product lifecycle management and customer satisfaction. Own and initiatives to reduce product costs while maintaining performance and quality. Collaborate with Product Management to maintain a technology roadmap, with emphasis on digitalization, energy efficiency, and other technological trends. Manage engineering activities across global locations (design, manufacturing, support, etc.), ensuring alignment and knowledge sharing. Ensure D-IT product platforms meet the performance, scalability, and reliability demands of modern data center environments
