Job Title: Engineering Co-Op
Job Location: Melville, NY (100% onsite)
Salary: $22.00-$23.00/hr
Assists in solving engineering problems in one or more phases of development. Provides support to engineering projects involving the analysis, research, design, development, fabrication, and testing of devices or systems. Assignments may be varied and require originality and ingenuity. Works under the general supervision of senior engineering.
Responsibilities
- Embedded Engineering interns need a strong foundation in C/C++ programming, microcontrollers (STM32, PIC32, etc), and basic electronics to connect software with hardware.
- Essential skills include debugging, understanding communication protocols (I2C, SPI, UART, TCP/IP/UDP), and utilizing tools like Multimeters & Oscilloscopes.
Qualifications
- Must be able to work daily onsite throughout the remainder of the year 2026.
- Working towards a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or Computer Science.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Experience writing technical specifications and other technical documents is a plus.
- Microsoft Office proficiency
- Programming Languages: Proficiency in C, C++.
- Hardware Knowledge: Basic experience with microcontrollers (STM32, PIC32, etc) and reading data sheets.
- Communication Protocols: Basic understanding of UART, I2C, SPI, and TCP/IP/UDP protocols.
- Debugging & Testing: Basic skills with hardware debugging tools like oscilloscopes and multimeters.
- Embedded Concepts: Basic knowledge interrupt handling.
