Engineering- Backend Professional

Tekion is looking for talented Backend Software Engineer/Architects who wants to be part of building the next-generation business applications on the cloud. Software Engineer will use his/her passion and expertise for creating world-class products. He/she will collaborate with the product and engineering teams and development managers to create the business application of the future.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and build backend solutions for complex business workflows and high-throughput systems
• Own components end-to-end design, development, testing, integration, deployment, monitoring, and continuous enhancements
• Demonstrate strong proficiency in using AI tools to accelerate engineering output (e.g., faster coding, debugging, refactoring) while maintaining quality standards
• Use AI effectively to draft HLD/LLD documents, review/validate AI-generated suggestions critically, and implement key components using AI-assisted development practices
• Build and scale agentic workflows/services where applicable, focusing on reliability, observability, and safe execution
• Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks; optimize latency, throughput, and overall system efficiency
• Provide technical mentorship and guidance to engineers across the team (design reviews, code reviews, best practices)
• Collaborate closely with Product, QA, UI/UX, and leadership to ensure clear requirements and smooth delivery
• Deliver high-quality outcomes on time in a fast-paced, high-ownership environment

Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor s in computer science or relevant fields
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in Software Development
• Strong sense of ownership
• Excellent Java and object-oriented development skills
• Experience in building and scaling microservices
• Solid understanding of at least one Nosql databases
• Attitude for getting things done
• Strong problem-solving skills, technical troubleshooting and diagnosing
• Expected to be a role model for young engineers, have a strong sense of code quality,
• and enforce code quality within the team
• Good Communication SkillsAbility to work in a fast-paced start-up environment
