DHL Supply Chain France, the contract logistics division (2,000 employees) and global market leader in logistics, is recruiting a Logistics Engineering Director / Engineer Lead – France scope.

The Logistics Engineering Director is responsible for the design, structuring, and profitability of logistics solutions offered to customers during renewals.
This role leads tender responses, ensures the standardisation and optimisation of proposed logistics solutions, and deploys continuous improvement initiatives to secure operational, economic, and contractual performance.

 Main Responsibilities – Tender Response (Renewals)

·       Analyse customer RFQs and tender documents

·       Design competitive and efficient logistics solutions

·       Build cost models (OPEX, CAPEX, pricing, margin analysis)

·       Coordinate with Sales, Operations, Finance, and IT

·       Participate in client presentations and negotiations

·       Capture and consolidate lessons learned

Engineering & Logistics Standardisation

·       Define standardised and modular logistics solutions

·       Design scalable and industrialised logistics schemes

·       Integrate automation solutions

·       Develop and expand the service offering

Continuous Improvement

·       Deploy Lean and Operational Excellence methodologies

·       Monitor and steer key performance indicators (KPIs)

·       Support post‑launch optimisation

·       Reduce gaps between business plan and actual performance

Management

·       Lead and develop the engineering team

·       Structure methods, priorities, and ways of working

Profile

·       Master’s degree (Bac+5) in Logistics / Supply Chain

·       10–15 years’ experience including significant experience with a 3PL

·       Strong expertise in tender management, logistics engineering, and continuous improvement
