Engineer and Project Leader, Industrial Piping

Your future role on our team You’ll be part of our Mechanical Engineering team specialized in industrial piping. You’ll encounter a variety of situations to develop your technical pumping skills for various industrial process applications, such as water, tailings and slurry pumping, mine dewatering, cooling or heating systems and fuel pumping. Your role as an engineer will be to participate in engineering, in selecting technology and in executing projects in the mining and heavy industry sectors. You’ll also help identify business opportunities with our clients and draft winning proposals. You’ll play a primarily technical and project management role in your assigned mandates. You’ll help the firm develop by maintaining business relationships with clients, and you’ll work in the greater Montréal area, at our Montréal offices. With us, you’ll get the opportunity to... Lead and participate in project design studies and detailed engineering Help write technical reports Lead the design of plans, details and specifications executed by a work team Perform design calculations and ensure plans meet guidelines, code requirements and other regulations Prepare material lists and bills of materials in accordance with codes, standards, drawings and other established procedures while applying BBA’s quality system requirements Coordinate the work of designers, drafters and other team members Assign and review the work of less experienced engineers, technicians and support staff Ensure work complies with budgets, estimates, procedures and schedules Coach, support and train young engineers under your supervision Plan, organize, lead and coordinate projects Perform technical information statements Participate in onsite technical audits
