The main responsibilities and activities associated with the role are listed below:

identify and analyze the technical, functional and performance characteristics of mechanical systems (components, mechanical transmissions, kinematic mechanisms) and hydraulic systems (servo controls and hydraulic circuits)
identify and define the cost drivers of mechanical and hydraulic components/equipment
estimate the cost of mechanical and hydraulic products by applying the most appropriate industrial cost estimation methods (parametric / analogy / bottom-up). Perform VA/VE (Value Analysis / Value Engineering) analyses on mechanical and hydraulic products

Requirements

Aeronautical/Mechanical Engineering (specialization in mechanical and hydraulic systems)
knowledge of mechanical and hydraulic systems (rotary-wing and/or fixed-wing aircraft)
mechanical technologies, development and testing of mechanical and hydraulic systems
Problem Solving
VA/VE
english, advanced/intermediate level (spoken and written)
