Elektromeister und Elektrofachkraft/ EFK / Electrical Master Craftsman (m/f/d) - Berlin
Tesla’s Cell Qualification and Abuse Test teams are looking for a skilled and motivated Electrical Master Craftsman and EFK (Elektromeister und Elektrofachkraft). The teams’ missions are to validate lifetime, reliability and safety performance of cells against requirements and standards. The team thus contributes to design and product validations.

- Own and allocate organizational tasks & responsibilities like creation & maintenance of procedures, SOPs, standards, equipment, inspections, lab commissioning, facilities, maintenance and staff trainings.
- Enforcement of and compliance with occupational health & safety; chemical & environmental, electrical protection guidelines. If needed, introduce and implement relevant measures e.g. through creation of risk assessments.
- Perform electrical commissioning of machines and systems including functional testing and identification and documentation of deviations/errors in electrical plans.
- Participate in as much testing as time allows, in order to understand test equipment and product behavior and become grounded in lab operations.
- Perform and supervise test preparation activities (e.g. instrumentation, charging) and destructive teardowns for root-cause analysis.
- Maintain high test throughput/efficiency and data quality. Drive globally aligned improvement as needed. Collaborate with internal or external stakeholders to realize improvements.
- Tasks require work with hazardous materials using mandated PPE and to set up and perform tests in person and in lab environments.
- Tasks require to work with high-voltage (live batteries) and other hazardous energy using mandated PPE and procedures.
- Completed vocational training (Berufsausbildung) or recognized equivalent education in Mechatronics, Electronics, Electrician, Industrial Mechanik, Automation or Maintenance.
- Completed additional training as an expert technician or master craftsman [Weiterbildung zum Techniker oder Meister] in a relevant technical field.
- Experience with application and enforcement of German standards for safety (ASR/TRGS/TRBS/DGUV/VDE/DIN etc.) and proven ability to transfer standards into actionable tasks and outcomes.
- Relevant experience with application and enforcement of DGUV, DIN and VDE standards for electrical safety.
- Experienced with MS office tools (Outlook/Excel/Word/PowerPoint/ Project), Adobe products, JIRA and Confluence or willingness to learn their use quickly.
- Ability to adapt to a constantly changing environment with new technologies, equipment and processes.
- Analytical, structured, independent, team and goal-oriented work style combined with high flexibility.
- Ready to take responsibility as Elektrofachkraft.
