Electrical Engineer and Team Leader – Power Generation and Apparatus

Your future role on our team You'll be part of our specialized electrical engineering team, recognized for its expertise in designing, analyzing and implementing complex technical solutions. You'll work with seasoned experts and be exposed to a range of operational contexts to strengthen your skills in power system design, specialized studies and developing solutions tailored to client needs in the industrial, energy and mining sectors. As team leader, you'll provide hands-on leadership, serving as a liaison between team members and managers. You’ll be responsible for supporting team engagement, contributing to skills development and fostering a collaborative, high-performance work environment. This leadership role is essential in supporting the team’s individual and collective growth. Your role as an engineer will be to participate actively in engineering and technical project execution: performing electrical studies, designing systems and equipment, selecting technologies, supporting clients and helping implement solutions in the field. Leadership Coach and support a team (from three to eight people) by fostering collaboration and a positive work environment Help with workload planning and performance monitoring in collaboration with the department manager Onboard new resources and provide basic mentoring Hold performance meetings (My BBA Journey) and provide constructive feedback Promote the use of internal tools, best quality practices and compliance with corporate policies Technical expertise You’ll play a key role in implementing and performing the technical review of electrical projects: Design and analyze low-, medium- and high-voltage power systems (networks, equipment, protection, switchgear) Perform specialized studies Help select, specify and evaluate electrical equipment (transformers, circuit breakers, relays, switchgear, etc.) Provide direct support to project teams and clients during the engineering, procurement and commissioning phases Help plan and support onsite activities (verifications, tests, commissioning, diagnostics) Ensure the technical quality of deliverables and compliance with applicable norms and standards Manage projects as project manager or project leader Contribute to business development by participating in client meetings, providing technical input for proposals and identifying opportunities
