EHS Specialist

Responsibilities:

  • Drive the implementation of the PPG EHSMS across all South Vietnam sites (Amata, Max Powder, PMC Warehouse, and Commercial) to ensure full compliance with local regulatory and company requirements.
  • Complete regular gap assessments and EHS audits (corporate, regional, and third-party) to highlight non-compliances and develop robust corrective and preventive action plans.
  • Support the implementation of site-specific EHS policies and risk management strategies while liaising with Senior Leadership and various stakeholders.
  • Actively participate in the development of annual EHS work plans and KPIs, consistently reviewing progress and performance reports with site leadership teams.
  • Facilitate monthly EHS leadership meetings to review performance and provide technical support to site managers, engineers, and employees.
  • Lead and facilitate comprehensive risk assessments at all manufacturing and commercial sites as required by business operations.
  • Develop and execute the EHS training matrix and plans for site staff, managers, and operators to improve the safety culture and maturity of the EHSMS.
  • Manage EHS IT databases, including incident reporting, thorough investigations, and the standardization of environmental compliance processes (Waste, Water, Air, and Noise).

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in occupational health and safety (OSH), Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • 2–4 years of practical EHS experience, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
  • Deep working knowledge of local EHS Acts, environmental regulations, and industry codes of practice.
  • Proven ability to lead, energize, and work effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
  • Strong influencing skills with a high command of English (oral and written) to interact with stakeholders ranging from shop floor personnel to senior management and regulatory agencies.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with a result-driven attitude and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
