Job Summary

Southern Industrial Constructors seeks an EHS Inspection Tech for an on-going site in the Wilmington, NC area. This role is for an on-going assignment.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Conduct stormwater and AED inspections for the facility.
• Work within precise standards of accuracy to perform tasks involving inspection, testing, documentation, and collaboration.
• Understand and follow directions, plans, sketches and blueprints.
• Conduct monthly fire extinguisher inspections and occasionally work with subcontractors for some aspects.
• Collect and enter data into logs.
• Support other maintenance employees as directed.
• Must have the ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
• Skilled in both written and verbal communication.
• Complete all Safety and general job training as required by SIC.
• Observe SIC and Customer safety and quality processes and procedures at all times.
• Have thorough knowledge of the occupation hazards and corresponding safety precautions necessary for the safe performance of maintenance duties.
• Perform safety inspections of work area, equipment and tools to ensure compliance with government regulations, customer requirements, and SIC’s safety program.
• Maintain a safe, clean and organized working environment.

 

Qualifications

The EHS Technician position requires a High School graduate or GED. This position will support GE by ensuring that the fire extinguishers, AED’s, and stormwater drains are all inspected and kept up to date. Training will be provided to understand the process of the inspections. Some computer skills are required for log work regarding the inspections. This job will be physically demanding as it requires significant data collection for the entire facility.
