eFX Quantitative Strategist - Fixed Income - Associate / Vice President
This global role sits within the eFX Strats team in New York and focuses on developing and deploying quantitative models to our production trading systems. The role spans the full lifecycle of model development, from research through to production, in close collaboration with trading, sales, and technology.
The role requires a strong quantitative background, a business-oriented mindset, strong programming ability, and a track record of converting concepts into reality. Moreover, we are looking for candidates who are looking for long-term growth.
Key areas of focus include:
Research and development of quantitative tools for pricing and hedging within our core market making business.
Research and development of alpha and flow-analysis models.
Productionization of successful techniques.
Close alignment with sales and trading.
Responsibilities:
Rigorously research, develop, and validate quantitative models
Implement models in production systems, contributing across the full development lifecycle
Collaborate closely with global trading, sales, and technology teams
Requirements:
Advanced degree (MSc or PhD) in a quantitative discipline
Experienced modeler; AI/ML background; handling of large datasets
Strong coding ability; handling of production systems
Experience in the electronic markets
Experience working in a front-office environment
Excellent communication skills
Additional Qualifications:
Experience in Quantitative trading, Grid compute, and / or KDB/q databases

Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $150,000 - $200,000 per year for Associate and $225,000 - $250,000 for Vice President, at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
