Data Governance Specialist (SAP GL)

This role is part of the Finance Department and supports EMEA by ensuring General Ledger master data  in the SAP system is maintained accurately and efficiently. The main focus will be on governance, maintenance of data, data cleansing and process improvement opportunities as identified. You will collaborate with multiple teams within finance and IT. The data involved may be resident in SAP ECC, Business Warehouse (BW) and/or SAP Business Planning and Consolidations (BPC). This will be achieved by using best practice data governance, maintenance processes, and the application of data.

You will:

• Be responsible for the quality of finance GL master data as assigned

• Create, modify, and maintain SAP General Ledger master data

• Establish and enforce data governance frameworks, policies and standards ensuring compliance and data integrity

• Take ownership of, adhere to and communicate data standards

• Be responsible for data maintenance processes used throughout the core finance systems (SAP ECC, BPC, BW)

• Participate actively in finance data related activities

You have:

• Bachelor degree in Accounting or Finance

• Minimum 3 years of experience in a finance related position with exposure to data maintenance activities

• Already had a chance to work within a team and are enthusiastic about contributing to many financial projects

• Knowledge of SAP / BPC / SAP AO / SAP S/4HANA

•  Good knowledge of Excel would be beneficial

•  Knowledge of data management processes is preferred, with emphasis on data stewardship and governance of Enterprise systems

•  Knowledge of Power BI and other analytical tools would be an asset

•  Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English is essential
