The Position

As an integral part of Pharma Technical Operations (PT), PT Global MSAT, Engineering and Sustainability (PTT) plays a key role in leading a seamless industrialization and thorough technical product management through integrating SHE, proactive maintenance, facility fitness, performance optimization and scalable manufacturing processes and technologies in support of the manufacturing network. Product and process robustness, efficiency and reliability are key performance indicators, PTT owns and drives continuous improvement.

The Opportunity

  • Define and drive the strategic technological roadmap for Drug Product, ensuring alignment with PTT and PT long-term business goals.

  • Ensure Drug Product network standards are consistently met by collaborating with Technical Development and global MSAT teams.

  • Manage the technology lifecycle and identify critical milestones for re-evaluating standards to reflect evolving business needs.

  • Represent Drug Product technological interests in senior governance forums such as the Technology Portfolio Committee.

  • Translate technological innovations into actionable projects to improve manufacturability and process robustness.

  • Lead high-impact, cross-functional initiatives to implement technology strategies that enable the realization of the pipeline.

  • Evaluate the feasibility, scalability, and implementation readiness of new Drug Product manufacturing technology selections.

  • Provide strong leadership in monitoring adherence to technological standards across the global Drug Product manufacturing sites.

  • Champion a culture of innovation, lean manufacturing, and productivity enhancements globally.

Who you are

You are a recognized expert in manufacturing technologies with a proven track record of driving large-scale industrialization projects. You are a senior coach and mentor, dedicated to fostering growth in emerging technologies and advanced leadership skills within your team. Your ability to navigate complex organizational structures and your commitment to operational excellence make you a key architect for the long-term management of Roche’s technology portfolio.

In addition, you possess the following qualifications and experience:

  • BS/MS/PhD in Chemical/Biochemical Engineering, Life Sciences, or a related technical field.

  • 15+ years of industrial experience specifically focused on Drug Product process development, equipment development, or manufacturing.

  • Proven track record of leading senior-level cross-functional teams in a matrix organization.

  • Expert knowledge of Drug Product manufacturing technologies and global standardization practices.

  • Comprehensive understanding of pharmaceutical quality systems and regulatory guidelines (ICH) relevant to manufacturing.
