Overview
This entry level position works under general oversight to create and modify engineering design drawings with the use of computer aided design (CAD) software focusing on AutoCAD specifically.
This position can be located in Louisville or Lexington, KY.

Responsibilities
- Prepares detailed engineering drawings, maps, and diagrams as well as other drafting services.
- Performs blueprint or other reprographic processing and distribution.
- Assists in department record-keeping and filing systems for historical documentation.
- Assists in development of drawing standards and procedures.
- Become familiar with the internal Engineering team to begin learning processes needed to assist in capital project work.
- Performs other duties as assigned
- Complies with all policies and standards
Qualifications
Required Education
High school diploma or GED
Preferred Qualifications
• Associate’s degree in Drafting Technology or a construction related CAD program OR a minimum of 3 years of relevant drafting and/or construction related CAD experience.
• Analytical and decision-making skills to perform projects of high complexity.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Specific training and experience with Autodesk software.
• Basic understanding and familiarity with conventional drafting practices and skills.
• Ability to read blueprints and construction drawings specific to applicable field of work.
• Willingness to work with field personnel to better understand the processes of project execution.
