What you’ll de doing

As the Director, Risk Platforms, you'll play a key role in supporting the profitable growth of Lending portfolios by providing strategic leadership for credit risk systems across Credit Card and Retail Lending Adjudication platforms. You’ll guide the development, evolution, and maintenance of Lending Credit Adjudication systems, offering direction and support to your team and partners. Within assigned projects, you’ll lead the creation of credit risk requirements and ensure the successful implementation of new systems and platforms to sustain a robust credit risk management infrastructure. Your leadership will help drive innovation, foster strong cross-functional relationships, and ensure effective management of multiple platforms. You’ll work closely with internal and external partners to implement, optimize, and manage risk platforms that enable business success

How You'll Succeed

  • Risk Management & Analytics – Cooperate and collaborate with partners to collectively manage the overall risk profile and control framework through development and maintenance of risk platforms.  Use data-driven processes to effective lead and manage system implementations and changes

  • Technical expertise - Provide credit risk management leadership and strategic direction related to adjudication projects and initiatives. Develop and support credit risk requirements and ensure the successful implementation of new systems & platforms for the purpose of achieving and sustaining a robust credit risk management infrastructure.

  • Innovation and Change Management – Exercise strategic vision and act as a change agent for Risk Analytics and Credit Decisioning through innovative and creative thinking, leading change required to optimize effectiveness and achieve stated objectives.

  • Relationship Management and Collaboration - Build and maintain ongoing partnerships with key partners across Risk, Product, Technology, and Operations. Work closely with various teams towards a common goal and coordinate risk activities as required.

  • Leadership and People Management - Provide leadership and effective management of business unit staff to influence employee commitment to the organization by setting appropriate context when assigning work, providing development opportunities and managing performance while creating a positive work environment

Who You Are

  • You have relevant education and experience. You hold a degree or diploma in Business, Statistics, Finance, or a related field, or have equivalent years of experience.

  • You bring deep knowledge of credit risk. You have strong expertise in credit card products, retail lending credit, credit risk management, portfolio performance strategies, and scorecards, with demonstrated experience in retail risk management. You understand various lines of business, products, services, delivery channels, and new technologies to identify and assess risks. You’re skilled at preparing business process documentation in alignment with the risk control frameworks.

  • You have systems and team management experience. Experience managing a team and overseeing systems or platforms is part of your background. Knowledge of systems used for cards, mortgages, and personal lending (such as FICO Platforms, CASA, Provenir, Compass, Decision Manager, or Triad) is an asset.

  • You give meaning to data. You enjoy investigating complex problems and making  sense of information. You communicate detailed information in a meaningful way
