Role Overview
The Director of Product Management – Residential Mortgage Applications leads the inbound product management function for JazzX’s enterprise-grade Residential Mortgage application. This role is accountable for defining what gets built and why, translating complex customer, regulatory, and business needs into clear product requirements and execution-ready roadmaps.
The Director owns product discovery, requirements definition, prioritization, and delivery across end-to-end mortgage application workflows, with a strong emphasis on enterprise readiness, compliance, scalability, and AI-powered capabilities.
This role manages a team of product managers and works in close partnership with a dedicated outbound product management function responsible for go-to-market strategy, positioning, and customer-facing enablement—allowing this role to remain deeply focused on building the right product.
The role collaborates closely with engineering, design, AI research, compliance, security, and forward-deployment teams, and requires staying current with advances in AI-driven financial services and enterprise software.
Core Responsibilities

Application Ownership
- Define product requirements across end-to-end application workflows, including but not limited to:
- User and borrower-facing experiences
- Data ingestion, validation, and document workflows
- Decisioning, review, and exception handling
- Operational, administrative, and post-processing workflows
- Ensure workflows are configurable and scalable to support multiple enterprise customers, geographies, and operating models.

AI-Driven Product Capabilities
- Lead the definition and delivery of AI-powered functionality within the mortgage application, including intelligent automation, decision support, and workflow optimization.
- Partner with AI research teams to ensure models are production-grade, explainable, and compliant with financial services standards.
- Make informed trade-offs between automation and human-in-the-loop workflows to balance efficiency and risk.
Enterprise-Grade Product Execution
- Ensure the product meets enterprise expectations for:
- Scalability, reliability, and performance
- Security, privacy, and data protection
- Compliance, audit trails, and regulatory oversight
- Role-based access, configurability, and operational controls

Build vs. Buy Decisions
- Evaluate when to build capabilities internally versus leveraging third-party or commercial solutions.
- Assess trade-offs across speed to market, cost, integration complexity, and long-term differentiation.
- Ensure all integrations align with JazzX’s enterprise and AI platform standards.
Metrics & Impact
- Define and track product-specific and outcome-driven metrics, including:
- Product usage, adoption, and feature engagement
- Customer onboarding time and time-to-value
- Automation rates and operational efficiency gains

Team Leadership & Collaboration
- Build, mentor, and manage a team of inbound product managers.
- Establish strong standards for product discovery, requirements quality, and execution rigor.
- Serve as a senior product partner to engineering, design, AI/ML, compliance, security, and outbound product teams.
- Clearly communicate complex product and domain concepts to executive, technical, and non-technical stakeholders.
