Protective is seeking an experienced Product Compliance Director to lead the contract development and regulatory filing function for our Employee Benefits Division. This role provides essential support across group life, supplemental health, and disability products, ensuring all forms, contracts, and filings meet state regulatory requirements while aligning with product strategy and enhancing the customer experience.
This leader will oversee a small team of compliance professionals and serve as a key partner to Product Development, Legal, Internal Systems, Claims, New Business, Insurance Administration, and Corporate Compliance. The ideal candidate brings deep product knowledge, strong technical expertise, and the ability to anticipate regulatory needs in a fast‑moving environment.

Strong technical and analytical expertise related to contract language, state filing requirements, and regulatory frameworks
Exceptional attention to detail and organizational abilities

Strategic thinker with the ability to anticipate regulatory needs and navigate complex issues
Ability to manage multiple simultaneous projects in a deadline‑driven environment
Required Knowledge:
Deep knowledge of group life and health products.
Strong understanding of SERFF and I‑File systems.
Expertise in multi‑state filing requirements, compliance frameworks, and product regulations.
Familiarity with form drafting conventions and contract structure.
