The Groom Technical Director creates hair, fur and/or feather grooms for characters and creatures in high-end VFX film projects.
 

What you’ll do:

• Create hair/fur/feather grooms for characters and creatures using Framestore's proprietary grooming tools

• Close liaison with Creature FX simulation TDs over the requirements for dynamics, and the layout of guide hairs

• Liaison with other departments involved in the creature workflow - Modeling, Rigging, Animation and Lighting

• Producing render tests of the groom as it progresses

• Meeting set schedules and deadlines while maintaining the highest standards

• Regularly communicating with Production and Leads regarding schedules and deadlines
