As a Platform Engineer in our Digital RD team, youll be the person making sure our data and software work together. You will partner with Product Owners to turn complex scientific ideas into real, scalable digital solutions.This is a hands-on role where you will experiment, build prototypes, and prove that new features work before turning them into high-quality production ready applications for the RD teams.

Main Responsibilities:
- Solution Architecture Design: Partner with Product Owners to design and implement API-first strategies that facilitate seamless data integration across RD systems.
- Rapid Prototyping (PoC): Lead the development of functional Proof of Concepts to validate architectural frameworks and mitigate technical risks before moving into full-cycle development.
- AI-Centric: Build "AI-Ready" platforms with a focus on building integrated AI Agents and automated application workflows to enhance research capabilities.
- API Management: Develop and maintain a secure, high-performance ecosystem of RESTful APIs to serve as a reliable interface for both users and other systems.
- Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Manage and scale our secure AWS environment using Terraform, ensuring consistent and reproducible deployments.
- Data Engineering Orchestration: Build and optimize high-integrity data pipelines using Snowflake and dbt to deliver "AI-ready" datasets to our scientific community.
- Security GxP Compliance: Uphold stringent pharmaceutical security standards to protect intellectual property and ensure all architectural solutions remain compliant with industry regulations.
Technical Profile
- Cloud Infrastructure - Deep expertise in AWS Foundational Services (EC2, S3, IAM, Lambda, VPC, ECS/EKS).
- Data Engineering - Experience with Snowflake (Data Warehousing) and dbt (Transformation).
- DevOps CI/CD - Proficiency with Terraform for IaC and GitHub Actions for automation.
- Development
- Backend:Python, FastAPI,RESTful Services, andAWS API Gateway.
- Frontend: React JS,TypeScript, andReduxfor state management.
- Architecture - Experience in designing Scalable AI-Ready systems (e.g., vector database integration or model serving readiness).
- AI and Security Integration
- SSO-auth(Okta/Azure AD/Ping),Async API calls, and secure data handling.
Qualifications
Experience:
- A Masters or Bachelors in Science or Engineering background is a must
- 5+ years in platform engineering, fullstack development, and building on AWS Cloud
- Knowledge of the complete software development lifecycle and Agile methodologies.
- Communication: Ability to explain complex technical trade-offs to non-technical stakeholders in the RD space.
- Industry Knowledge: (Preferred) Previous experience in Life Sciences, BioTech, or a highly regulated data environment.
About You:
Key Requirements Qualifications:
- Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform. Good to understand AWS CloudFormation.
- Experience with CI/CD tools: GitHub CI/CD and GitHub Actions.
- Strong scripting skills in Python, Bash, ReactJS and Shell.
- Knowledge of the complete software development lifecycle and Agile methodologies.
- Hands-on experience with containerization using Docker and orchestration with Kubernetes (EKS) or ECS.
Good to have Skills:
- Data warehousing on Snowflake and Data Transformation knowledge.
- Understanding of MLOps concepts and experience supporting machine learning pipelines is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
- DevOps certifications are preferred.
