We empower employees to take on challenging assignments and roles with an elevated level of responsibility in our agile working environment. Our people make us who we are, and we create incredible products and experiences that empower us to THINK OUTSIDE.

Position Overview:

As a Digital Product Manager, you will lead the strategic advancement of Polaris’ engineering systems to transform the product development process from traditional 2D drawings to a contemporary Model-Based Product Development approach. You will serve as the product owner for foundational engineering capabilities centered on the PTC Windchill ecosystem, defining roadmaps that enable virtual builds, testing, and Model-Based Definition. In this role, you are accountable for delivering scalable digital products that create measurable value for global stakeholders across Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Service, and Supply Chain. This high-level independent contributor role is a compelling opportunity to directly impact product quality, time-to-market, and product lifecycle efficiency at the global leader in powersports.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Own the product vision, strategy, and multi-horizon roadmap for PLM Design capabilities that support the end-to-end product lifecycle.
  • Translate business outcomes into product priorities and initiatives that strengthen Polaris’ digital thread and model-based workflows across engineering, manufacturing, and service.
  • Evaluate internal performance, business needs, market trends, and emerging capabilities to recommend modernization opportunities and investment priorities.
  • Establish and lead product operating rhythms such as quarterly planning, roadmap reviews, and KPI reporting in partnership with business and D&IT leadership.
  • Manage product budgets, investment cases, prioritization, and value realization to ensure transparent decision-making and measurable business impact.
  • Partner with engineering and delivery teams to execute the roadmap using Agile and project management practices that support predictable, high-quality delivery.
  • Lead product discovery and definition efforts by synthesizing user needs from workshops, analytics, voice of customer feedback, and stakeholder input, and translating those insights into clear requirements.
  • Create and maintain a right-sized product backlog of epics, features, and stories, including acceptance criteria and just-in-time elaboration to support effective delivery.
  • Lead or actively participate in key delivery ceremonies and release planning while coordinating cross-team dependencies and balancing near-term delivery with long-term architecture and platform sustainability.
  • Provide product leadership for Windchill-based PLM capabilities and processes, including 3D BOM structures (EBOM/MBOM/SBOM), configuration management, versioning, traceability, engineering change processes (ECR/ECO/ECN), release and approval workflows, and CAD/PDM integration patterns such as Creo and related toolchains.
  • Partner with D&IT software engineering and platform teams to support platform health and scalability, including upgrades, performance, reliability, security, environment strategy, data governance standards, and product data quality outcomes.
  • Drive adoption, change management, and partner performance by leading training and communication plans, champion networks, rollout waves, and usage measurement, while aligning stakeholders, managing tradeoffs, and ensuring vendor partners deliver to Polaris standards for quality, security, and maintainability.

Desired Competencies:

  • Collaboration: You work effectively with others across functions and levels, contributing to shared goals while respecting different perspectives.
  • Communication: You clearly convey information, ideas, and expectations to diverse audiences, adjusting your message to ensure understanding and alignment.
  • Technical / Functional Expertise: You apply the required technical or professional knowledge to perform your role effectively and stay current within your area of expertise.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Industrial Design, Business, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in IT or Engineering with increasing scope and accountability.
  • 5+ years of experience in Product Management partnering with senior business stakeholders in complex enterprise environments.
  • Recent experience supporting Model-Based Definition (MBD) transformation and practical enablement of MBD concepts.
  • Demonstrated experience with PTC Engineering systems and product lifecycle processes.
  • Proven ability to lead a product from concept through release, including roadmap definition, execution, and iterative improvement.
  • Experience working in Agile delivery environments and managing backlogs, prioritization, and value-focused outcomes.
  • Strong technical aptitude for evaluating requirements and collaborating with architects and engineers to make informed tradeoffs.
  • Experience supporting or leading data migration readiness, partnering on data cleansing, validation, and cutover strategies.
  • Ability to influence across a cross-functional matrix; strong stakeholder management and conflict-resolution skills
  • Hybrid work model, requiring 3 days in-office and 2 days of remote work, with on-site days determined by management and subject to change based on business needs.
  • This position is not eligible for sponsorship.
