Digital Media Operator- Part Time / On Call

  • Perform file conforming, versioning, and preparation for editorial, mastering, and delivery.
  • Execute transcoding and encoding workflows to meet client and platform specifications.
  • Apply fixes based on QC reports, editorial notes, or client requests.
  • Ensure files received and created meet technical specifications and are ready for finishing, QC, and delivery.
  • Provide accurate and timely job status updates to supervisors and team members.
  • Prepare media for editing, color, restoration, and finishing workflows.
  • Verify format, frame rate, aspect ratio, audio configuration, captions, and metadata against client specifications.
  • Maintain version control and ensure consistency across revisions and deliverables.
  • Troubleshoot file compatibility, playback, and workflow issues.
  • Support client review sessions and assist with media preparation when required.
  • Assist with data management and archiving.
  • RELEVANT SKILLS:

  • Strong understanding of post-production workflows from ingest through final delivery.
  • Experience conforming timelines and preparing assets for finishing and delivery.
  • REQUIREMENTS:

  • 3–5 years of experience as a Digital Media Technician, or Assistant Editor in a professional post-production facility or studio.
  • Experience supporting editorial, conform, or finishing workflows preferred.
  •  
  • Proficiency with transcoding and media processing using Colorfront Transkoder or similar tools.
  • Working knowledge of DaVinci Resolve, Adobe Premiere Pro, and Adobe Photoshop.
  • Familiarity with IMF packages and common mezzanine and delivery formats.
  • Knowledge of codecs and formats including Apple ProRes, H.264/H.265, DPX, TIFF, and JPEG2000.
  • Experience supporting HD, UHD, 4K, HDR10, and Dolby Vision workflows.
  • Understanding of color spaces, frame rates, audio configurations, and caption/subtitle workflows.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Windows and macOS environments.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and production tracking tools.

Employment Type: Part-Time / On Call - On-Site
Schedule: Monday - Friday (Day Shift)
Salary Range: $26- $30 USD Per Hour
