The Food Service Worker performs food preparation and storage, serving of meals and snacks, cleaning and storing of dishes, utensils, pots, and general department sanitation. The Food Service Worker may be assigned to patient food service, cafeteria service or catering and may be assigned to relieve in other areas.Job Description:
EDUCATION:
- HS Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED)
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:
- Basic food production and food service knowledge with ability to use various food service supplies and equipment.
- Knowledge of maintaining a safe food environment including proper cleaning procedures and usage of equipment.
- Must be able to read, write and speak English as well as understand and follow written and oral instructions and directions.
- Must have sufficient mathematical ability to perform basic measurement and portioning activities including increasing and decreasing recipes.
- Ability to meet established deadlines and multi-task in an atmosphere of frequent interruptions.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Ensure the privacy of each patient’s protected health information (PHI).

Pay Range is $29.37 to $36.88 / hourThe compensation range may vary based on the geographic location where the position is filled. Total compensation considers multiple factors, including, but not limited to a candidate’s experience, education, skills, licensure, certifications, departmental equity, training, and organizational needs.
