We are seeking an experienced Development and Support Lead to support the NISSC III program. In this role, you will work with mission-critical systems essential to national defense and national security priorities. This is a full-time, on-site position ideal for a technical leader who thrives in dynamic environments and is passionate about engineering excellence, digital transformation, and high‑standards execution in support of National Defense.

Primary Responsibilities:
Analyze, develop, and maintain NISSC III sustainment-covered requirements in collaboration with the Government Program Office
Maintain requirements documentation and metadata, including traceability, within a Digital Engineering environment
Collaborate with the Government Program Office to implement and sustain integrated Digital Engineering / Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) processes
Coordinate and perform joint Cadence Managed Deliveries (CMD) Program Increment (PI) planning sessions with the System Program Office (SPO) to identify tasks, resource needs, and milestones aligned to SPO-approved priorities
Collaborate with the SPO to conduct Event Managed Deliveries (EMD) Integrated Sustainment Services (ISS) project planning sessions, identifying tasks, milestones, and resource application
Ensure effective system operator capability for Single Integrated Space Picture (SISP) O&M activities and maintain availability of SISP and SPADOC equipment
Review, validate, and release configuration items—including documents and drawings—while identifying gaps or misrepresentations
Support the Program Office and System Program Office (Government) as directed
Participate in Engineering Review Boards (ERBs) and Configuration Control Boards (CCBs); ensure timely submission of required reports
Assist in documenting and implementing hardware and software configuration management processes and procedures
Ensure compliance with contractual requirements and applicable government standards
Lead, mentor, and support the engineering organization across the program
Perform additional tasks as required to support program success
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in a related field with 8+ years of relevant experience; Additional experience, training, and/or certifications may substitute degree requirement.
US Citizen; Currently possessing an Active DoD Secret clearance or ability to obtain upon hire.
Advanced expertise with Microsoft Project
Strong desire to grow and learn emerging technologies in the missile early warning domain
Demonstrated experience writing and editing government documentation
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
Demonstrated creativity, technical initiative, and resourcefulness
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, SharePoint, and other document management, engineering, and collaboration tools
Preferred Qualifications:
Master’s degree in related field with 6+ years of experience
Active DoD Secret clearance
Excellent oral and written communication skills; ability to communicate and advocate discipline-related knowledge, services, and programs
Proven experience managing and delivering projects on time and within budget, with strong knowledge of Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall methodologies
Deep understanding of software development, engineering, and networking concepts
Experience with Space Force MBSE practices and program elements
Experience with NISSC or other Air Force programs

Pay Range:
Pay Range $107,900.00 - $195,050.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
