The opportunity:

As a Dev Ops Engineer, you will be part of Indian Operation Center, India (INOPC-PG), aiming to develop a global value chain, where key business activities, resources, and expertise are shared across geographic boundaries to optimize value for Hitachi Energy customers across markets. As part of Transformers BU, we provide high-quality engineering and Technology to Hitachi Energy world. This is an important step from Hitachi Energy's Global Footprint strategy.

How you’ll make an impact:

  • The DBA/Infrastructure Engineer manages the cloud infrastructure, database systems, CI/CD processes, and overall operational support for the application ecosystem.

  • Ensuring reliability, performance, and security of production systems. Managing Azure infrastructure components supporting the application ecosystem. 

  • Administer relational and nonrelational databases. Implement CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and release processes. 

  • Collaborate with Local IS/IT teams on operational support and incident management. Ensure system performance, reliability, and security compliance. 

  • Responsible for ensuring compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

Your background:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or software engineering with 3+ years working with relational databases (SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Oracle). 

  • Knowledge of NoSQL databases is a plus. Strong understanding of Microsoft Azure cloud services. 

  • Experience with Azure Service Bus, Kafka, microservices, and REST architectures. Familiarity with TDD and infrastructure-as-code techniques. 

  • Experience with orchestration platforms (Kubernetes, Docker) is a plus.Proactive problem-solving and process optimization approach.

  • Strong analytical thinking and systematic troubleshooting abilities. Capability to formalize operational knowledge and transfer expertise to team members.

  • Proficiency in both spoken & written English language is required.
