Deputy Director of K12 Scholarship Programs

The Deputy Director of K12 Scholarship Programs serves as a senior member of the K12 Scholarship Programs division and performs all executive functions in the absence of the Director of the K12 Scholarship Programs division at NC SEAA. The position's primary purpose is to provide professional leadership and expertise for the scholarship grant programs for students attending nonpublic schools in grades K-12 and to assist in developing agency policy to implement the K12 scholarship programs, manage division staff in program administration, and to lead division operations for the K12 scholarship programs administered by the Authority. In addition, the position is further responsible for the oversight of the K12 technical systems, fund administration, and support and compliance related to families and nonpublic schools. The position works directly with the division Director, the Executive Director, and other senior leadership on legislative proposals, strategic initiatives, planning for necessary budgeting, technical and programming changes, and works directly with SEAA's contractor for operational issues for the K12 MyPortal system.
