Our Dental Assistants assist in the examination and treatment of patients under the direction of a dentist.  

Monday - Friday, 8 am - 5 pm Work Schedule

A Day in the Life of a Dental Assistant may look like this:

• Greet and prepare dental patients
• Assist dentists during procedures and maintain instruments and supplies
• Perform basic and some moderately complex dental procedures
• Assisting in handing instruments and materials to dentists and keep patients’ mouths dry and clear by using suction or other devices
• Sterilize and disinfect instruments and equipment
• Prepare trays of instruments for dental procedures and instruct patients on postoperative and general oral health care
• Recording patients’ health histories
• Taking and developing x-rays and preparing dental compounds
• Taking pouring and trimming dental impressions and seating temporary restorations

We ask our Dental Assistants to possess a minimum of:

• High school diploma or GED
• Active Texas Dental Assistant License
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from American Heart Association or American Red Cross

The following experience/skills are preferred:

• Experience as a Dental Assistant, minimum of one (1) year
• Proficiency with EMR system
• Bilingual English/Spanish language skills are a definite plus
