Overview The Demand planning role is responsible for delivering against the established forecast accuracy metrics for the BFSI Chicago Export Operation. Collaborating with customers across the globe to gather, analyze, and offer demand insights that allow appropriate and proactive forecast adjustments, thus delivering highly accurate demand signals. Lead demand planning processes for export ensuring demand is visible to the US planning teams Facilitates the demand validation with orders vs demand, makes decisions related to forecast adjustment, short lead order request process, avoiding excess or lack of product for export. Responsible for periodic reports to markets covering forecast vs sales and forecast accuracy. Support innovation/new product launches by executing tasks associated with the feasibility process and required systems setups. This role is responsible for training and requesting system access to new incoming Demand Planner and is secondary back-up to the Supply Chain Sr. Planner roles. Geographical Scope: 50+ countries, including Asia, Europe, the Middle East, South America, Mexico, Central America, Puerto Rico, and the Caribbean, etc. Responsibilities Accountable for understanding the forecast process by Business Unit or category for all exported products. Accountable for developing and deploying forecast processes to international markets, ensuring compliance with U.S. forecast requirements (forecast calendar, forecast submission, upload, and overall management). Gather, consolidate, and update forecasts in alignment with the U.S. forecast process. Utilize the SAP APO tool to develop the final forecast for Export Customers and deliver both short‑term and long‑term accuracy. Own final forecast targets for Foods, Snacks, FL, and Beverages Business Units, ensuring achievement of short‑term and long‑term accuracy goals. Collaborate weekly with the U.S. Demand Planning statistical forecast team to deliver shared weekly and period UPC/DC forecast accuracy. Lead the annual AOP forecast creation and upload for all export markets in collaboration with market teams and ERP systems teams. Maintain close day‑to‑day relationships with key international contacts to gather intelligence related to volume and sales (trade promotions, calendar events) and adjust projections accordingly.  Coordinate with US Demand Planning Team Leads and maintain direct relationships with Business Unit contacts to stay informed on strategies, activities, and events affecting product demand. Collaborate with the US Demand Planning Team, International Planners, and Sales Strategy teams as needed. Coordinate with the Innovation/Commercialization team to manage forecasts for new and discontinued products impacting Export Customers. Coordinate with Supply Chain teams on product discontinuations affecting Export Customers. Serve as a point of contact for Operations personnel at the demand point to clarify and disseminate information related to the forecast and demand. Leverage experience, analysis, reporting, and gathered intelligence to review history, evaluate demand, and take appropriate actions to adjust or override forecasts (baseline, lift). Lead Continuous Improvement initiatives to enhance forecast accuracy, applying Six Sigma fundamentals where applicable to drive accuracy and productivity. Own all data related to Forecast Accuracy; create presentations and deliver content by period, mid‑year, end‑of‑year, or as requested. Forecast Accuracy is the primary Key Performance Indicator for this function. Ensure clear engagement with TPW and pep+ Compensation and Benefits: The expected compensation range for this position is between $80,700 - $135,100. Location, confirmed job-related skills, experience, and education will be considered in setting actual starting salary.
