Deal Desk Operations Analyst
The Deal Operations Analyst supports the end-to-end deal lifecycle by partnering with Sales, Revenue Operations, Finance, and Legal to ensure customer deals are accurately structured, policy-compliant, and executed efficiently. This role serves as a key point of support for non-standard deals, order booking, and approval workflows, helping balance deal velocity with revenue accuracy and risk management.
This is a hands-on, cross-functional individual contributor role focused on operational excellence and scalable processes.
Key Responsibilities
Deal Desk Support
- Review and support standard and non-standard sales deals, including pricing, discounting, and key commercial terms
- Ensure deals align with internal approval, pricing, and revenue policies
- Provide guidance to Sales on deal structure, required approvals, and next steps
- Prepare and route deal approvals through established workflows
Order Management & Deal Execution
- Own order booking accuracy from closed-won through order submission
- Validate orders for completeness, accuracy, and policy compliance prior to booking
- Coordinate handoffs with Billing, Finance, and Customer Success
- Support corrections and amendments for post-close changes
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner closely with Sales, Finance, Legal, and RevOps to move deals forward
- Coordinate contract review inputs and track approval status
- Serve as a subject matter expert for deal and order processes
Process & Systems
- Maintain deal documentation, approvals, and audit trails within CRM and CPQ tools
- Support deal workflows in systems such as Salesforce and CPQ platforms
- Identify process gaps and inefficiencies; recommend improvements to enhance deal velocity and accuracy
- Contribute to sales enablement content and deal desk guidance
Reporting & Insights
- Track deal volume, approval turnaround times, and exception trends
- Surface patterns related to discounting, deal complexity, or booking errors
- Provide validated deal and contract inputs used for ARR, churn, and price uplift reporting.
- Support Revenue Operations and Finance in investigating variances or anomalies in revenue reporting.
- Ensure deal‑level changes are accurately reflected for reporting and analysis purposes.
Qualifications
Required
- 2–5+ years of experience in Deal Desk, Deal Operations, Revenue Operations, Sales Operations, or related roles
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Business, or related field
- Strong attention to detail and operational rigor
- Experience supporting sales deals in a B2B environment
- Ability to manage multiple deals simultaneously under deadlines
- Strong communication skills and comfort partnering cross-functionally
Preferred
- Experience in B2B SaaS or subscription-based business models
- Familiarity with CRM and CPQ tools (e.g., Salesforce, Ironclad)
- Basic understanding of pricing, discounts, and revenue impact
- Exposure to order-to-cash or revenue recognition concepts (high-level)
- Enables scalable, repeatable deal execution as the business grows
