VP, DLT Payments Product Manager, Global Transaction Services, Institutional Banking Group

Global Transaction Services is a product group within DBS’ Institutional Banking Group focused on the management and sale of Cash Management (including transactional FX payments), Documentary and Open Account Trade Finance, and Securities & Fiduciary products and services to corporates, financial institutions, and SMEs.

In this role, you will be part of the group payments product management team that manages the suite of Payments products and solutions covering cross-border payments, domestic payments and DLT based payments infrastructure solution, across corporates, SMEs and financial institutions.

 

Responsibilities

  • Drive new capabilities and initiatives for DLT based cross-border payments solutions across the group, with focus on digitisation, regulatory alignments and market developments in the payments ecosystem.
  • Be responsible for driving product commercialisation strategy and go-to-market plan of new DLT based payment solutions
  • Responsible for market/ competitive analysis, product development, implementation and commercialization.
  • Lead end-to-end product development including ideation, defining user requirements, developing business cases and working with technology & operations partners to executing tech builds, testing and deployments to ensure timely delivery of desired customer journeys and solutions.
  • Identify and implement opportunities to drive payments innovation, revenues and volumes. Focus on digital innovations and disruptions in the payments landscape to develop new solutions for bank.
  • Collaborate with Sales & Marketing partners to develop customer value propositions, pitch books, marketing collaterals & training materials.
  • Partner with internal & external stakeholders in leading customer/ partnership engagements, technical workshops, trainings & any other related industry engagement activities across the region.
  • Monitor new technological advancements such as digital currencies, CBDCs, payments & treasury innovation, IoT, 5G and evaluate the applicability to solve real customer problems in the cross-border payments space.
  • Perform regular competitive landscape analysis including pricing, services, features et al. to ensure effective market positioning of our product offerings.
  • Drive consistency of product offerings across the region and establish regular cadence with in-country teams to drive commercialization and scale.
  • Review and ensure proper processes and controls are in place for risk mitigation and compliance with applicable policies and regulations.

 

Requirements

  • Relevant experience & passion in Blockchain/DLT/ Smart Contract technology, Digital Currencies, Web 3.0 business model, and Payments
  • Minimum 8 years of relevant experience
  • Experience of working on Cross-border Payments, SWIFT, ISO20022 and DLT technology are useful assets.
  • Track record in managing, developing, and launching new products.
  • Strong knowledge of cross border and domestic collections and payment schemes with good grasp of fintech’s and disruptions in the payments & collections space.
  • Strong market research, analytical, & problem-solving skills, able to address business specific issues through obtaining & analysing data, to validate opportunities, and also push user adoption and growth
  • Demonstrated success in client engagement and engaging internal partners to product development and commercialization
  • Excellent communication, coordination and relationship building skills, with experience working in cross functional and cross location projects.
  • Highly adaptable, self-starter, ability to deal with ambiguity, thrives in fast-moving and high-growth environments and possess creative problem-solving skills
  • Highly proficient in PowerPoint, Excel, & good understanding in tools such as Jira, Confluence, Qlikview et al. will be a plus
  • A team player who is able to see big picture and have the ability & resiliency to work through challenges with clear organisation goal in mind.
  • Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills.
  • Minimum bachelor’s degree in any related discipline.
