Data Governance & Control Analyst

• Graduate or Undergraduate degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Computer Science, Statistics, Math, or a related field
• 2–5 years of experience in a financial operations, middle office, data management, or reporting/control function
• Strong attention to detail and a demonstrated ability to work within a control-focused, high risk environment
• Perform daily and periodic control checks on reference data and reporting outputs to ensure accuracy, completeness, and timeliness
• Verify and maintain key reference data against defined sources and standards
• Follow documented procedures to populate missing reference data and correct data quality issues in a consistent, auditable manner
• Make minor quantitative and formatting changes to report outputs (e.g., adjusting calculations, labels, groupings, or layouts) to improve clarity and alignment with standards
• Escalate data quality or control issues according to predefined thresholds and document remediation steps taken
• Support testing and validation when new data fields, controls, or reporting enhancements are introduced
• Experience with Excel (formulas, lookups, pivots) for data validation and reconciliation tasks
• Exposure to reporting or visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) for reviewing and refining report layouts
• Exposure to workflow or project tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence) for documenting procedures, changes, and issues
• Experience in basic data analytics or simple scripting (e.g., Python, Alteryx) is a plus but not required
