Role Overview
As a Data Engineer at Project Tree, you will be the architect of our data flow. You will design, develop, and maintain high-performance ETL processes and leverage Dell Boomi to integrate disparate systems. Your goal is to ensure that data is accurate, accessible, and synchronized across our entire ecosystem, supporting real-time analytics and business intelligence.

Key Responsibilities

• ETL Architecture: Design and implement complex ETL/ELT workflows to move data from various sources (SQL, NoSQL, APIs) into centralized data warehouses or lakes.
• Boomi Integration: Act as the subject matter expert for Dell Boomi (AtomSphere); develop, deploy, and manage integration processes using Boomi connectors, maps,
  and profiles.
• Data Modeling: Design and optimize relational and non-relational data models (PostgreSQL, SQL Server, Snowflake) to ensure high-speed query performance.
• System Synchronization: Build real-time and batch-based integrations to ensure data consistency between ERP, CRM, and custom-built backend services.
• Quality & Governance: Implement rigorous data validation, cleansing, and error handling protocols to maintain 99.9% data integrity.
• Pipeline Optimization: Identify and resolve bottlenecks in data processing; implement caching and indexing strategies to reduce latency.

KPIs & Success Metrics

• Data Accuracy Rate: Ensuring zero-to-minimal discrepancies between source and target systems.
• Pipeline Uptime: Maintaining high availability for critical data integration streams.
• Processing Latency: Reducing the time taken for data to move from ingestion to availability.
• Integration Success Rate: Percentage of successful Boomi executions without manual intervention.

Technical Skills & Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science, Data Science, IT, or related field.
• Expertise: 5+ years of experience in Data Engineering with a heavy focus on ETL methodologies.
• Boomi Mastery: Proven experience with Dell Boomi (Certification is a strong plus). Knowledge of Atoms, Molecules, and Boomi API Management.
• Data Tooling: Advanced SQL proficiency; experience with Python or Java for data scripting.
• Cloud & Warehousing: Experience with cloud data platforms (AWS Redshift, Azure Synapse, or Snowflake).
• Testing: Strong skills in unit and integration testing for data pipelines.

Soft Skills

• AI-Augmented Efficiency: A forward-thinking mindset with the ability to leverage AI tools (e.g., Copilot for SQL, AI-driven data mapping) to accelerate pipeline
  development and error detection.
• Analytical Problem-Solving: The ability to trace complex data flows and resolve architectural inconsistencies across multiple platforms.
